Sadie Valeri (b. 1971) is an internationally recognized oil painter and art instructor. Sadie studied drawing and painting at the Rhode Island School of Design, earning her BFA in Illustration in 1993. In her early thirties she discovered the emerging movement of 19th century-based Classical art training, and continued her education with masters of Realism including Ted Seth Jacobs, Juliette Aristides, and Michael Grimaldi. Since her first major show of paintings in 2009, her body of work has attracted significant honors including First Prize for Still Life in the 2010 Art Renewal Center International Salon. Her paintings, evocative of the Dutch Golden Age of still life, have been acquired by many prestigious collections including the New Britain Museum of American Art. |
