Bennett Vadnais
will be debuting with us as one of two "Introductions Artists" for 2007. Bennett originally comes
out of Washington State but has traveled far and wide in seeking out an art education. The Water
Street Atelier was his last stop, and now he is embarking on his own career as an exhibiting artist.
We are the first gallery to earmark this young man for a solo exhibition.
Vadnais has an inordinate and compelling interest in painting landscapes. He is an extraordinarily
talented colorist, subtle and subdued, who uses haunting shadows to draw you into these intimate paintings.
He has made a study of painting New York's Central Park, resulting in works that are superb in depicting that
sumptuous plot of sculpted land. Included in the show will be subjects in and around the New York Metropolitan area.
All of his works shimmer with movement and mood. His year round panoply of subject matter are rich with the reds and
oranges of autumn, blues and greens of summertime, plus the stark whites and blues of winter. Springtime subjects are
filled with the colors of blooming bushes and flower beds. He paints trees and streams and architecture with equal panache.
Prices for his work range from $2,250 - 5,500.
