Gregory Hull - (b. 1950) Born in Oklahoma, Hull grew up in Utah and received both his Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts Degrees from the University of Utah. On his first trip to Europe in 1973, Hull visited the major museums, searching for his own "artistic roots", which he eventually found through the medium of oil and the inspiration of 17th and 19th Century Old World Masters. He later returned to Europe to study in Madrid for a year, deepening his understanding of classical figure and still life painting techniques and participating in a group exhibition at the Galleria Quixote in Madrid. Hull has enjoyed a successful career here in the U. S. He has been a member of the gallery stable for a decade, has staged a one-person show and has participated in many of our thematic group exhibitions. His works are represented in major galleries across the country: New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Laguna Beach. His prices range from $2,000 to $28,000, depending upon size and complexity of the subject. |
