Adam Forfang (b. 1978) is a realist painter, a native of the Bay Area, and graduate of the Academy of Art College in San Francisco with a B.A. degree in painting. Adam and his work came to our attention through the auspices of Randall Sexton, a teacher at the institution and an artist whose shows with the gallery have been very successful. He and Sexton participated in a prestigious teacher/student exhibition at the Vose Gallery in Boston in early 2004.

Forfang graduated with honors from the Academy and worked with us here at the gallery for several years. Many artists with the gallery have heralded his work; admiring his confident, brushy, airy, and colorful approach to the still life. He excels at moody colorations and arrangements with playful tension. When combined, they offer a young man's point of view with an already accomplished painting style, belying his age.

Adam Forfang won major prizes in Academy Exhibtions in 1999, 2000, and 2001. What distinguished these honors from most is that he has First Prize in all three categories, the Portrait & Figure, Still Life, and Drawing.

Few young artists are so skilled in so many areas so early in their career. Already he has begun to attract an astute group of clients to his work and his future as an exhibiting artist well into the future seems assured. We recommend his work to you without reservation. Prices for his works range $1,350 to $15,000, depending upon size and complexity.
