Donald Demers - (b. 1956) is a painter that hails from Maine and is
considered to be one of the finest marine painters in the country
today. In recent years he has extended his reach to landscape paintings
and has now become firmly entrenched in that field as well. Demers is a
Fellow of the American Society of Marine Artists and is the leading
award winner at the International Marine Art Exhibition sponsored by the
Mystic Seaport Museum.
Our clients were first introduced to the work of this luminous painter when he showed with us in February, 2000, alongside William Davis and Joseph McGurl. In the ensuing time, he has been featured in several museums, including the Frye Museum, Seattle; the Cummer Museum in Jacksonville, FL.; and the Haggin Museum in Stockton, CA. American Artist Magazine has featured his work on several occasions. Demers' works range in price from $4,200 to $45,000 depending upon size and complexity. Marine collectors have sought out his paintings for many years and, as a result, he is found in most of the prestigious collections on the East Coast. We recommend him to you as one of the best painters working in the country today. |
